The Poets and The Police.
This first article is about the version of the Police — The Worry Police.
This article sat on the top of the pile for longer than expected because I wrote the first half first and thought I was done. That’s right, just worrying about the Worry Police. Pulled no punches. Went hard.
Venting feels good. Getting it off your chest is precisely what I originally wanted out of this piece, but not offering recourse or advice seemed wrong, so I flipped it. For every sentence about the Worry Police, I wrote an equivalent Leadership thought.
In writing the antithesis, I also discovered how much I’ve spent worrying… being the Worry Police.
Writing. It’s how you learn what you think.
(Bonus content: I’m posting new episodes of The Important Thing daily for the next week.)
(p.s. The Poets is the next article.)
