Incredibly Productive
I have been incredibly productive for the past week for reasons hiding in my head that I don’t want to discuss. The backlog of podcasts has been tidied, four articles are actively being worked on, and I’ve started yoga.
This is all related.
The dream when it comes to writing is the appearance of an almost fully formed article in a moment. This has been an increasingly lovely occurrence over the past decade. I suspect it’s a consequence of writing for the past thirty years: I have an idea, and then my brain does some wicked background process and “sees” a mostly complete piece. My brain reports this back to me, “Hey. You’ve got an article here.”
There is still the complicated act of writing and editing the piece, but if the average lifecycle of most articles on this place is, yeah, three months. These articles are soup to nuts in two days.

This article started on a bike ride and started with the desire to give someone critical feedback. First human to identify the line, and I’ll send you a signed book — pick one. Anyway, when I feel the deep desire to provide critical feedback, it’s usually feedback I need to give myself. So, I dug into the archives and found the times I needed that feedback.
Viola! Insta-article.
I hope you are swell.
